THE SPIRIT TO PUSH THROUGH

“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.” — Psalm 28:7

God wired us with a fire inside..a warrior’s spirit, a drive to push forward, to protect, to provide, to lead. But let’s be real: that fire gets tested. Hard.

Life will throw punches that shake your foundation. Stress. Temptation. Failure. Maybe you’re in a season where you feel stuck, where nothing is going right, and deep down, you’re exhausted from the fight.

I know that feeling. I’ve lived it. The kind of battles that drain every ounce of strength, that leave you questioning if you have anything left to give. And if we’re honest, the thought creeps in:

“I don’t know if I can do this anymore.”

But here’s the truth: You were never meant to fight alone.

STOP TRYING TO DO IT ON YOUR OWN

When we rely on our own strength, we run out of gas.

Our wisdom? Limited.
Our patience? Thin.
Our endurance? Short-lived.

And pride? It sneaks in, whispering, “I got this.” Until we hit the wall. Again. And again.

But when God is our strength, everything shifts.

He doesn’t just help us push through, He carries us. He lifts our head when we feel defeated. He fuels our fire when we feel empty. He speaks truth when the enemy tries to feed us lies.

And He doesn’t just give us a way to survive, He gives us victory.

I’VE LEARNED THIS THE HARD WAY

Without God? I break.
With God? I overcome.

There’s a defining moment where we have to drop the act of self-reliance and be real. Throw up our hands and say:

“Father, I surrender. I trust You. I can’t do this without You. I need You now.”

Let that sink in. You don’t have to be the strongest guy in the room.
You just have to be the one who knows where his strength comes from.

THE CHALLENGE

Where have you been relying on yourself instead of fully leaning on God?
Where is pride keeping you from surrendering?

Take a moment. Drop the weight. Let God carry it.

PRAYER

Father, I lay down my pride, my fear, my exhaustion. I can’t do this without You. Strengthen me, fill me, and remind me that You are with me in every battle. When I want to give up, remind me that Your power is made perfect in my weakness. I trust You. I need You. I surrender to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
